Early start as wind forecast to ease this afternoon to too low for my gear. Chose 5.3m, but 4.7m would have been fine near harbour wall, but gusty in bay so would have been a problem for me getting there with 4.7m on smallish board. Racers were out trying to own the ocean; would help if they moved 50m away from Harbour as at low tide off the harbour wall is best. Rode a few small waves, but messy. came in mid-day as wind eased to 6m. Nice when tricky choices work out.
